Josh Hayes started out his career in multifamily in 2004 when he was hired on as grounds keeper in Colorado Springs with a local company, Griffis Blessing. Within a few months he was hooked and wanted to learn more. Started to get into doing make readies and then work orders followed. Within 7 months he was promoted to a Service Tech.

After 3 years he moved into a lead tech role where he stared to learn the Service Manager aspect of the job. In 2010 Josh obtained his first Service Manager job. He joined Riverstone in 2009 where he did multiple lease ups, opened up new regions in Williston North Dakota for Riverstone. After successfully opening the region, Josh moved to Oklahoma in 2015 where he worked for Radco as Construction Manager and was in charge of multimillion dollar budgets for Capital improvements across 6 properties.

In 2017 Josh joined his current company Weidner Apartment Homes. He was hired on to manage the new property that was just acquired which had 1128 units. They overcame over 250 make readies and constant days of 150 plus work orders to closing out days with single digit work orders and even getting their make readies to where they were waiting for the resident to move out so they could turn the unit. During that time, Josh help on board all maintenance team members and get them “Weidnerized” for all their new properties that they acquired. In 2021 he was promoted to Regional Maintenance Director over the Oklahoma and Arkansas communities.

Josh currently oversees the maintenance operations and capital improvements at 24 properties with just over 9000 units. His region is also doing a pilot program for Dispatch Maintenance. With this pilot program they help write the SOP for how their maintenance teams will work going forward for Weidner.

Josh Hayes currently holds a CAM-T as well as CAPS designation and just recently went through NAA Advanced Facilitator Training so he can teach the CAM-T Class for my local Apartment Associations. He also has a goal of being to discuss how his region effectively figured out to do Dispatch Maintenance to other leaders in multifamily.
